Recycled Purses and Bags

It was great to meet the owner of Jajaja Purses, Suzanne Kinavey, she’s so nice and her recycled purses and handbags are very cool and different. She started Jajaja with her two sisters, they take old curtains, draperies, upholstery, scraps, and fabrics from yard sales, estate sales and second hand stores and make really neat, original and one of a kind handmade purses and handbags. There are five upholstery companies who let them take their scraps and end of bolts, to make their bags. The scraps would have otherwise become garbage in a landfill. All purses have a unique pattern and look because it can't be replicated. How cool is that? You'll never run into someone who has the same purse or handbag as you!

They also recycle clothes and draperies to make the purses.
You could also call their purses repurposed, reclaimed, or vintage. The bags are unique and one of a kind. Each bag has its own history or story and you can also order wholesale or custom handbags. Imagine in 8 years how many pounds of scraps and old curtains they have saved from going to landfills?
