Eco-Friendly Labels and Stickers

These eco label stickers, aka the "EcoGreen Stickers" are made by Jack Prints. This environmentally friendly printing business is actually called Jak Print but most people seem to search them by these terms or by Jaks Prints, so hopefully this will help them find the company.

They told me that Jakprints goes above and beyond by reducing the environmental impact of the company in many ways including stocking papers with at least 30 percent recycled content, using bio-washes and bio-degradable chemicals and offering discounts to customers who bring paper for recycling. What a neat idea that other people or businesses could implement.

Some services that they offer, on top of eco stickers, are apparel printing and full color printing. They are FSC Certified and Rainforest Alliance Certified, which is very impressive for an eco label company.

Highlights:

- Acid free
- No toxic agents
- Vegetable based ink
- Made out of limestone
- No water consumption

This is what they say on their site about their Eco Green Stickers: We've chosen to use soy & vegetable based inks and many paper stocks containing recycled content. Add one of our 100% biodegradable water based coatings to your custom-printed project to give it a polished look. Furthering our "GREEN" options we also offer 100% made in the USA organic apparel and biodegradable banner/sign options as well!

Here's some information on their process:
Offset products are printed with Soy & Vegetable based ink.
Offer a 11.5pt 100% PCW recycled paper. The 100# & 60# house stocked papers are 30% recycled with a 93% brightness. The 12pt C2S Card stock is 10% PCW Recycled.
Water based coatings make their products 100% biodegradable.
Offer organic cotton and bamboo shirts in a variety of brands and colors.
Offer the world's first biodegradable outdoor vinyl banner material!
No chlorine or bleach is used in the whitening paper.
Aluminum screens are reused over and over again, even mended when damaged so they can be reused.
Whenever possible, vendor boxes are reused in order to minimize the need for new boxes.
100% recyclable aluminum plates are collected monthly.
Plate box packing material is reused for box packing to ensure optimum transit security.
Ink is distributed to presses via 55 gallon drums to reduce landfill and waste.
House stocked papers are warehoused by the truckload, which reduces semi truck deliveries from weekly stops to only one per month.
All paper trimmings, unused paper products and runs that do not meet their quality standards are recycled weekly.

I could go on and on because they've so many great information on their site, but just check them out, get some samples and see if eco label is something your company might like on your go green campaign!
