Recycled Clothing: A Lot to Say
This recycled clothing company called A Lot to Say makes t-shirts out of recycled water bottles! All shirts are PVC-free, made in the US and they were a water bottle in their previous life. According to them, In 2006, the United States sent over 2 million tons of plastic drink bottles to landfills. These bottles, identified by the number “1” in the recycle symbol are made of the plastic called PET.
Each design has a different word that talks about a fact regarding climate change. For example, the one I had said "HOT and getting hotter. Global warming is causing the average temperature of the earth's atmosphere to increase by 1 degree Fahrenheit in recent years. Ouch." Others words are: virgin, nuke, turn on and flush, with explanations and facts under it. A Lot to Say recently launched a line for pet lovers with the words fetch, heart and purr. How cool is that? Also, their no water dye process is the ultimate in green and eco-friendly ink. Available colors are white and black, and the words are printed in several different colors. The men and women long sleeves, short sleeves, tank tops and yoga t-shirts that stretch (I use it for my zumba class) are available in all colors and they come with different words that have "something to say".
They make all kinds of things besides shirts: recycled bikini, yoga, scarves, umbrellas, underwear (guy and girl), and even pillowcases. Their line is not only available online but also at some retail locations.
A Lot to Say says "reverse global warming every time you buy this product" below each thing they have for sale, reminding us that we can indeed make a difference by buying from sustainable and green companies.

If we speak out, others will act out.

Or wear it.
