Non-toxic cookware is hard to find, but Xtrema makes it easy for you. It's the only safe non-stick cookware available in the market as far as I know. It's safe and healthy because all materials are inorganic natural minerals from the earth's crust. It's a company that I've been watching and looking forward to even before they had a pan out in the market. This cookware line cannot be scratched, it doesn't peel, it's healthy, and simply awesome. It's made with ceramic and even the coating is made with 100% natural ceramic materials and it is environmentally safe. Another great fact is that the non-scratch ceramic cooking surface on the Xtrema cookware is non-reactive and 100% non-toxic. No odors or gases are ever released during the entire cooking process, even if the cooking temperatures exceed 2500 F. To clean, just do it like any other metal cookware with any kind of sponge you usually use, even the heavy duty ones!

Why is Teflon bad for you? Teflon non-stick pans are made with a chemical called polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), in between others, which is known to increase infertility and some scientists say it may be more harmful to the environment and human health than DDT, a pretty impressive record to break. It is said that when a Teflon pan reaches around 446F it starts to offgas toxic particules, at 680F it releases six different toxic gases, two of them are carcinogenic, another two are global pollutants and one is MFA which is a chemical that's lethal to humans at low doses.

Xtrema cookware takes 18 days to make from beginning to end, another few great things about them is that the surface resists bacteria and it won't stain. It's the next generation of pots and pans that are not only safe for you, but also for our planet. They have all kinds of pots and pans from bakeware to cookware, teaware and even sets of 3, 6 and 16 pieces. I got a beautiful wok and have been loving it ever since! And let's not forget that this is dishwasher safe, microwave safe, refrigerator, freezer and oven safe.

One beautiful thing the founder, Rich Bergstrom, says at their website and that EcoBold agrees 100% is this:
"I truly hope and pray that the effort that we put forth and their results will both honor and glorify God."

Well said Rich, I'm sure you already have many blessings coming your way!

Highlights:
- Natural
- Non-stick
- No PFOA
- No PTFE
- 100% safe
- Won't peel
- Non-scratchable

Anthology makes several certified organic skincare products for you to indulge your skin upon. All products are from 99 to 100 percent organic and USDA certified. This organic skincare line is one of the best that has ever crossed the history of EcoBold. It's an all natural line that is made in small batches to preserve the freshness of the ingredients. Their products are for all skin types and they even have a soap free facial cleanser in case you have sensitive skin.

Anthology oils, butters and botanicals are also raw, unprocessed and loaded with antioxidants which helps hydrate your skin, prevent signs of premature aging, and support your skin’s health. Be wary of other companies saying that their product is "organic" when it really is full of water and a very small percentage of real organic ingredients.

Here are some of the things they have: certified organic facial serum for oily and dry skin, eye serum, body spray, organic body butter, body scrub and body oil, natural facial mask, facial scrub and soap free facial cleanser, organic bath salt and even soy candle.

Here's what Anthology says about their organic facial serum: "This organic serum is a powerful natural moisturizer and contains only non-comedogenic, light organic oils that deeply penetrate the skin, leaving it smooth and balanced. Oilier skin types produce more sebum than other skin types, but still can be dehydrated and in need of moisturizing."
Ingredients list of the organic facial serum: organic jojoba oil, organic grapeseed oil, organic rice bran oil, organic sunflower oil, gmo-fee tocopherols (vitamin E), lavender organic essential oil, geranium organic essential oil, petitgrain organic essential oil, rosemary, organic essential oil, eucalyptus organic essential oil.

You can also see the full list of ingredients for any of their product at their website. Enjoy our coupon code for a 25% off discount!

	Highlights:
- Vegan

EcoloBlue is a company that makes atmospheric water generators, in other words, it's a water filtration system that will have you drinking water from air! How eco-friendly and green is that?

EcoloBlue atmospheric water generator prices can vary from $999 for their EcoloBlue 28 (11 stage filter process and 28 liters per day) to $1,699 for the EcoloBlue 30 (12 stage filter process and 30 liters per day). It's a hybrid unit, which means that if the humidity is below 35% you can just plug it into a water source. It dispenses both hot and cold water and the screen is just very cool.

EcoloBlue estimates that their price per gallon varies from 20 to 45 cents. The filtration process is reverse osmosis and you've the option of adding vitamins and minerals back into the water. It's fresh water from thin air!

After navigating through their site I saw that they now have a solar panel bundle, here's some info on that:

2000 Watt Peak Solar Kit – EB 30, Panels, Controller, Inverter, Cabinet, Cables.

An OFF-GRID Solution for the EcoloBlue 30 Atmospheric Water Generator.

The EcoloBlue 30 only requires 300 Watts to operate efficiently. The EB30 is specially equipped to efficiently operate at a lower consumption rate when attached to Solar Power.

This EB30 Solar Panel Kit will allow the EB30 to generate between 1-3 Gallons Water / day depending on the humidity conditions and sun conditions. This solution is intended for Emergency use or Off-Grid use.

This kit is modular and can be expanded depending on individual needs by adding extra solar panels and extra batteries to allow for longer runtime.

As you can probably tell I was somewhat skeptic that a water generator could literally make 8 gallons of water every day, but after a friend confirmed that it's possible, especially in a humid area, I decided to release this interview, I just hope it's true and hopefully one day I can actually get to do a real EcoloBlue review!

Rainbow Light has recently launched a certified organic natural vitamins line. After checking our Rainbow Light office in Santa Cruz and talking to their CEO, Linda Kahler, I found out about their new cool recycled packaging called Ecoguard that is currently saving 6 million bottles from landfills. It's completely BPA free, food grade and EPA approved. Rainbow Light has been making natural health vitamins for over 25 years and they were the first one to make food vitamins! How cool is to interview the very first company to make all natural vitamins with food ingredients?!

They have: men vitamins, women vitamins, including prenatal vitamins, pet vitamins, teen vitamins, multivitamins, energizing, protein power supplements, omegas, thinberry diet (weight management) and even dog supplements in between others.

This reusable water bottle by Swiss company SIGG is not only an eco-friendly bottle, but also a safe water bottle that's BPA-free. If you don't already own a reusable water bottle, please think twice. In the US alone we use over 30 Billion plastic bottles, that's 3.5 Million bottles every hour. On top of that, 80% of the water bottles don't get recycled. In fact, they end up in landfills, oceans, rivers, and even on birds stomachs, that's right: birds eat the water bottle caps and they even feed it to their babies thinking it's food. Its heartbreaking to see that we could avoid that. Another main reason to use reusable aluminum bottles such as SIGG's is that most plastic water bottles are made with BPA, which is a synthetic material that can cause several problems, in between cancer, obesity and neurological problems, according to several researches that have been done.

SIGG bottles have been out and about for over a century and they're a very honest and upfront company. I know that a few years ago they were having some problems with BPA in the lining, and when we asked them about it, they didn't hide behind the bush, they responded right away and said that the lining had been replaced since 2008 and is now 100% BPA free.

According to their site, what differs SIGG from most other reusable bottles is that their bottles are manufactured from a single piece of pure aluminum. They say: "SIGG bottles are perfectly extruded for uniform, seamless construction ensuring leak-proof performance and extreme durability."

Where to take my reusable water bottle? You can take it to work, to the gym, while running, exercising, camping, you can even leave it in your car. Some people even freeze water inside the bottle and use as ice on ice coolers!

SIGG carries a big collection of several different styles, colors and sizes, they even have BPA-free reusable kids bottles, lots of designs to choose from.

A little history about SIGG:
They were founded in Switzerland in 1908 and they were producing a range of goods covering thousands of household and sports articles. They started producing the first single-color coated drinking bottles in 1980. In 1999 SIGG decides to focus on the production of the SIGG bottle and in 2008 they celebrated one hundred years of existence!

	Highlights:
- Reusable
- Saves money

This cool elephant dung paper will make your day. I found this company, Mr Ellie Pooh, a while ago while browsing the Green Festival and found out that they have all kinds of recycled elephant dung paper products, from greeting cards to note pads to stationary products, note boxes, notebooks, scrapbooks, photo albums, photo frames and even elephant poo pins and poo magnets. They have all kinds of paper products that's not only helping elephant conservation in Sri Lanka, but that's also green and eco-friendly because their dung is completely natural, biodegradable, compostable and recyclable. On top of that the end result is an acid-free paper. Another really neat thing they make is recycled business cards, made on an eco-friendly printing environment and, yes, also made out of elephant dung. And for those of you wondering: does elephant dung paper smell? I've the answer for you: absolutely not!

	Highlights:
- Natural
- Acid-free
- Toxic-free
- Compostable
- Biodegradable
- 75% Elephant dung paper
- 25% post consumer paper
- Helps elephant conservation in Sri Lanka

Here's some more in depth info from their site:
Sri Lanka is home to about a tenth of the estimated global total of 40,000 Asian elephants in the wild. Elephants are not being killed in Sri Lanka for their tusks, as tuskers are rare; they are not being killed for meat, since no one eats elephant meat; they are not being killed for their hides, since there is no market for elephant hides in the leather industry. Instead, elephants are being killed simply because they interfere with agriculture. Since 1950, it is likely that more than 4,000 elephants have been destroyed as a direct consequence of the conflict between man and elephant.
The elephant is running out of space in Sri Lanka. Most of the protected areas inhabited by elephants are small, less than 1000 sq. Km in size (900 sq. Miles). Nevertheless, elephants, especially the bulls, may range over hundreds of square kilometers in the course of a season. Their sheer size and gargantuan appetite mean that elephants and people cannot live together where agriculture is the dominant form of land use, unless the damage they cause to farmers can be compensated. There are no easy solutions for resolving the human-elephant conflict in Sri Lanka. Much will depend on how rural people perceive the worth of the elephant. to stop the wanton killing of elephants requires changing the perceptions of the farmers who suffer constant depredations from the animals. Many are now convinced that the only way elephants and human beings can exist successfully in the same environment is through finding ways to use the elephant as a sustainable economic resource.
Elephant dung may be that resource. It is a commodity that is freely available. On average, an adult elephant produces about 180-200 kg (500 lbs) of it per day. Moreover, it provides a way of converting a liability into an asset in conflict areas.
Until now, no one had any use for it. However, project Maximus, designed to manufacture paper from it, may help change the perception of the farmers of the economic value of the elephant in conflict areas.
Since an elephant’s diet is all vegetarian, the waste produced is basically raw cellulose. Thoroughly cleaned and processed, the cellulose is converted into a uniquely beautiful textured product, marketed as “Ellie Pooh Paper”. This acid free, linen-like papyrus-type paper can be formed into art and construction projects, notebooks, cards and assorted gift items where the only limitation is ones imagination. These products have proved extremely popular among many in the local population and among foreign tourists.
Although this paper may not completely resolve the ongoing human-elephant conflict in Sri Lanka, its use for the benefit of the farmers who suffer from elephant depredations will certainly go some way in raising the tolerance of the farmers towards the elephant. If the elephant is used as an economic asset that contributes meaningfully to the welfare of the people, then the people themselves will not want to see it disappear from their area. In the final analysis, all of our conservation efforts will be futile if we do not have the support of the local communities. "Pachyderm Paper" can plan an important role in the conservation of its provider.

What does it take to have a green home remodeling? What are the basics of making and building sustainable homes? Susan Davis from Specitrum Fine Homes gives us some hints on how to have a sustainable home on the cheap and while saving money! It's just a reminder that going green can actually save you money while creating a healthier life for you and your family. It's simply amazing how it's a win win situation!

Some of her ideas for a green home remodeling are:
- Have a home energy audit, also known as home performance audit, you can even get it for free through your city or through your energy company. Worst case you pay someone to come by, and even then you'll end up saving money by finding out what holes you need to patch or windows you might need to change.
- Another option is to have a thermal image report to see exactly where heat is leaking or air cold is getting in!
- If you're interested in having solar energy in your home, definitely make sure to have a home energy audit before installing it, you won't believe how much money you could save just by closing up holes. Not only that, you'll need a much smaller solar power and you'll end up saving money there too!
- Read the labels, find out exactly what kind of furniture you're putting inside your home, your carpet, paint, and even cleaning products can be very toxic and could be harming your health.

Here are the kinds of services they offer, in between others: green interior design, green remodeling, green architecture and green construction, home performance audit or thermal image report.
