These lightweight and durable baskets are made from the scrap left from the factories in the Philippines producing flip flop sandals. The scrap is cut into smaller pieces and wired together to form containers. Since 2000, the United States and Canada has saved thousands and thousands of pounds of this scrap material from being dumped into the landfills. These baskets have all sorts of possibilities. For Practical purposes around the house you can fill them with shoes or toys, you can use them as trash bins, or slip your favorite potted plant into them and it will brighten up any living space.
