Mineral Foundation

Mineral Foundation

Why is mineral foundation better for my skin than traditional makeup?

Nowadays it seems like everyone is trying to keep their skin healthy and flawless but what's the key to achieving beautiful skin? After years of experimenting I've finally found the answer: mineral makeup. The concept of mineral makeup is brilliant in its simplicity. Its makeup made from pure minerals found on the earth without any added toxins or chemicals. The fact remains that mineral foundation will not clog pores or aggravate an acne condition as intensely as some traditional makeups.

To understand why someone would believe this lets look at the ingredients. The first ingredient we see is Sericite Mica. Sercite Mica is a natural mineral that can be used as base ingredient in place of bismuth oxychloride in mineral foundations. Other natural ingredients include Titanium dioxide, Zinc oxide and Iron Oxide, which actually offer natural sunscreen protection in addition to being absolutely chemical free.

Now lets look at standard traditional foundations. The list of ingredients is frightening to say the least not to mention  virtually unpronounceable: Formaldehyde, Bismuth Oxychloride, Propulparaben, Imidadazolidinyl urea, unnatural or synthetic colors, and the list goes on and on. All of these ingredients are dangerous for your skin and will cause irritations such as acne. They should never show up on any of your labels.

I started to use mineral makeup about 2 years ago and now that I know its amazing effects, I will never go back. Mineral makeup does come in liquid and powder form so you can pick whichever you prefer. Remember, Flawless coverage and healthy skin should not be mutually exclusive and mineral makeup is an option that can achieve the best of both worlds.
